5 Things I Wish I Knew Before Getting Married

 
 

Do you ever get swarmed with marriage advice?

I feel like when I was dating and engaged to Jeff, I had a big sign on my forehead that read, "Give me your best marriage advice, NOW!" It's one of those things everyone has an opinion on and everyone believes their opinion is the correct one.

Of course, a lot of this advice still helps me today, but when I actually got married, the reality of what just took place, along with all my expectations I had loaded and ready to fire, started to sink in.

Marriage is one of the greatest adventures you will ever go on, but the journey doesn't end with, "I do." And there are a few things I've learned along the way that will help prepare you for that big adventure, or lend a helping hand for those already along the journey.
