How Comparison Steals Your Strength
Comparison is not simply something we shouldn’t do… but it’s a weapon being used against you.
Growing up in church and Christian culture, we’ve all heard that it’s wrong to compare. But have you ever wondered why it’s wrong or what it’s actually doing to you? If we truly understood it’s dark powers, we wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss the idea so quickly.
“The girl pricked her finger and began to feel strangely faint…” -Sleeping Beauty
If the enemy couldn’t keep you from knowing God, then he’ll try his best to take you out by whatever means necessary. And one of the greatest, and dare I say easiest, ways he does this is through comparison. We prick our fingers on the allure of what someone else has, or does or is, and we begin to fall into a daze, incapacitated and unconcerned with what’s really going on around us.
Like the sleeping Princess past out on her stone bed, we remain useless, lifeless and unable to move forward into the adventure God is calling us to.
In other words, you’re not longer a threat and your journey has come to a halt.
Would you like to know how comparison is stealing away your strength and more importantly, how you can get it back?
