How to Act in Faith

Bible Study: Winning the Battle in Your Mind Pt. 3

After watching the videos for key one and key two, you’re already well on your way to winning the battle in your mind. You know what scripture says, you’re casting down negative thoughts and replacing them with His truth… but it’s still SO DANG HARD to feel free from all of the emotions and insecurities we feel boiling up inside!

What’s a girl to do?

Just because you don’t feel super confident, secure or whole doesn’t mean you can’t act like it anyways. Who says your emotions have to define you? God says you can overcome and dominate them!

I know what you’re thinking… Isn’t that called “being two-faced?” Well, no.

Being what we call two-faced is more about acting one way with some people and acting another with others, usually with one of those “faces” being untrue to who you really are.

What I’m talking about is acting out of who you really are (what the word of God says) regardless of how you feel or perceive things in the moment. One is a flaky, unstable person. The other is a secure, solid girl who isn’t so easily swayed by things as trivial and ever-changing as her emotions.

Trust me, this piece of the puzzle was a game changer for me. Once I started acting out what I was confessing inside my mind, then I started actually becoming that girl I always wanted to be: confident and secure.

Take a step of faith. Act on what you believe. You’ll start walking into the person you were always meant to be.
